Tobias recently celebrated his 16-year anniversary with the firm. He serves as the President of Montage Insurance Solutions and the CEO of Simpolicy Insurance Solutions. He received his underwriting training from Blue Shield of California and is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University (LMU) where he studied Political Science at the Center for the Study of Los Angeles. He has been nominated multiple times for the San Fernando Valley Business Journal’s “Top 40 Under 40” as one of the highest caliber working professionals under 40 years old in the Valley, andwas a winner of that publication’s “Most Trusted Advisor Award” in 2015 as well as their Leaders of Influence award in 2023. Tobias is an expert in the changing landscape surrounding HealthCare Reform and has been a speaker to several well-regarded organizations including PIHRA, CAHR’s Main Stage, the HRD Network, SMA (a special interest chapter of SHRM), the LA Financial Planners Association, LANSA, Heritage Wealth Management Group, Montage’s own My HR Summit Series, a national speaker for the Christian CEO organization Convene, and various Boards of Directors, Executive Teams and business journals. Tobias has spoken for the California HR Conference multiple times and been commissioned by LormanEducation Services to conduct educational content on the topic of employee benefits funding mechanisms as he is widely considered to be an expert in the field of health insurance plan designs. He has given talks on HRIS platforms, and was also a guest speaker, asked to share his business principals at the Mountain West Credit Union Association’s CEO Board Chair Summit. He has spoken on Creating Employer Wellness Plans, Deescalating Violent Workplace Situations and has been featured on multiple podcasts including Dr. Brandi Stankovic's business podcast “The Strategic Hotbox” as well as the YouTube channel “Jerry Learns Business.” Tobias sat on the Board of Directors for The Staffing Management Association and was Vice President of the Board of Directors for the California Unemployment Insurance Council. He is licensed in Employee Benefits and Property & Casualty, OSHA-10 and CalOSHA-10 certified, a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt and a member of the American MENSA Society.
